New Rules for Oregon Trip Permits

April 6, 2015

September 16, 2013

New rules for Oregon trip permits –

Oregon has begun limiting the number of trip permits you can buy in a 12-month period. If any one vehicle you operate has more than five trip permits in 12 months, Oregon will require you to establish an account with its DOT and supply a $2,000 cash deposit or bond. If your fleet exceeds 35 trip permits in 12 months, you also will be required to establish an account. You may be able to qualify for a cash deposit or bond waiver after a 12-month period of reporting and paying weight-mile tax reports.
